Deactivation of cases can be accomplished using an “inline” or “offline” unit. The inline unit can be set to deactivate all items coming through or be triggered by the destination, read from the barcode. The offline unit is a portable unit that can be pulled out to quickly deactivate several cases, and then slipped away.

For higher volume applications, deactivating by the pallet load is the answer. Many distribution centers only handle pallets and can quickly have a shipment ready to go to a non-EAS store using this over sized deactivator.
