Application Equipment

Deactivation is a normal part of the retailer’s security tagging program.  Every purchased item is presented to the deactivation unit at the point of purchase, item by item.  For the Source Tagging manufacturers and packaging companies, it represents a bigger challenge as deactivation occurs after the merchandise is at least packaged, if not already on pallets.

Reactivation, when used, applies to the Source Tagging operation when “dead” or inactive labels are used to maintain a flexible inventory.  Reactivation is only possible with the AM technology and does require some extra effort for label orientation.

These companies offer deactivation and/or reactivation technology specifically designed for use in the Source Tagging manufacturing and packaging environments.
