Verification

Source Tagging efforts are made more efficient by the use of accessory equipment within the manufacturing plant or packaging process.  These accessories are important to the vendors of multiple retailers particularly if dual technology tagging is required.  These accessories are presented by TAG Company to assist the Source Tagging program for both the manufacturer or packaging company and the retailer.

High Speed Applicators

High speed applicators significantly reduce the impact of Source Tagging on the manufacturing process.  Placing the applicator within the manufacturing or packaging line accommodates the application of security labels of any kind automatically.

Deactivation/Activation

Source Tagging provides a number of options for vendors with regard to the management of inventory.  Dual technology tagging is often required for merchandise sold through multiple retail stores.  Both security labels are applied to the products and this unit deactivates the second technology prior to shipment.  This eliminates the potential tag pollution created by the active tags.  An alternative solution for AM tagging is the application of labels in an inactive or “dead” condition and activation upon shipment to the corresponding retailers.

Verification

Given the effort and expense of Source Tagging programs, it is prudent to confirm that active EAS tags are shipped with your merchandise.  Verification units provide a simple, low cost, effective method of “double checking” the active status of the tags inside the packages.
